As I was doing research into this I discovered a great program, however, this is more involved than I want to get right now, and I think it’s hard to do as a group project. I am including the link for any of you who may want to do this on your own: http://www.thecandidadiet.com/candida-diet.htm
Since what we are doing is a slightly modified version of what I do on a regular basis, I am including a list of foods to avoid:
- Processed sugars
- Cheese
- All dairy except yogurt and kefir
- High sugar fruits
- All breads, muffins, rolls, tortillas, biscuits, cakes, donuts, etc.
- Soda, even diet
- Pasta
- Processed flour
- Instant anything, rice, potatoes, oatmeal
- Alcohol, including beer, wine, spirits
- Candy
- Artificial sweeteners
It’s only for 7 days, I am confident we can do this. Things you can eat include but not limited to:
- Low to moderate sugar fruits
- Vegetables (except corn) limit potatoes to 1 serving a day or less
- Lean Protein
- Eggs
- Salsa
- Olive Oil
- Greens
- Coconut oil
- Oatmeal (slow cook)
- Quinoa
- Wheat germ, flaxseed, chia seeds, pumpkin seeds
- Raw almonds
High Sugar Fruits:
- Tangerines
- Cherries
- Grapes
- Pomegranates
- Mangos
- Figs
- Bananas
Low to Moderate Sugar Fruits:
- Lemon or Lime
- Rhubarb

- Watermelon
- Peaches
- Nectarines
- Blueberries

I have been informed that as excess bad yeast is removed from your system it produces toxic by-products that can cause nausea, sweating, and headaches, taking a milk thistle supplement should help with this a lot, also drinks LOTS of water to help flush out your system. If you have a good detox smoothie recipe now would be a good time to use it, we will continue to post them as well.
Have fun with this, it’s a learning and growth experience. I know we can do this, I am excited. I had an egg with salsa today for breakfast, felt odd to not have a slice of toast or any cheese, but I can do anything for 7 days, so can you!
